Nominations for the 2020 Lake Distinguished Alumni Awards are now being accepted.

Nomination forms are available at the link below or at the Lake High School office.

If you know someone worthy of this award and graduated from Lake at least 20 years ago, please nominate them by December 31, 2019.

Glider Pack Program for 2019/2020

The Glider Pack Program returns to Lake Schools! We realize some families maybe having difficult
times financially and may need assistance. The Glider Pack Program is available to help
households with supplemental food for children over the weekends, and extended breaks, free of
charge. If you have children in your household and would like to participate in this program, please
complete the form at the bottom of this page and return in a sealed envelope. (ATTN: Chris Wilson).
Please list students currently attending Lake Local Schools and children living in the household under
school age not currently attending. To maintain confidentiality households participating in the
program, will be assigned a number to correspond to the household information and the household
pack. This number will be on the pack sent home with your student . Your student should then return
the pack the following Monday (or next school day). Notification will be sent with the date of when we
will begin sending packs home with your student and complete instructions to families eligible.

This program is completely confidential. If you have any questions concerning the Glider Pack

Food items sent home will change each time. Please keep in mind, items included in the pack are not
intended for a full nutritious meal, this is a supplemental program for your child/children. As it becomes
available information will be sent home concerning other programs that may be available to your

The number of verified acts of harassment, intimidation and/or bullying as reported to the state by Lake Local Schools for second semester 2019 is:

Lake Elementary Fee Day August 9th

It’s about that time! 😮 Here is some important back to school info…

ELEMENTARY – Fee pay day is THIS Friday, August 9. 11-1pm and 4-6pm. Please bring all completed forms you received in the summer mailer – there will be extra forms available if needed. *If you are unable to make these times, you may pay at Open House or bring fees and paperwork to the Elementary School office beginning next week 8am-2pm.
*Mrs. Wilson will be available to add money to lunch accounts or speak to you about free/reduced lunches.
*Mrs. Foster will be available to speak to you about bus transportation, however, bus assignments will not be given until Open House.
*PTO representatives will be available to speak to about parent involvement and may have Lake spirit wear available for purchase.

******INCOMING KINDERGARTEN: please be advised of the staggered start. On August 21st, ONLY children with last names beginning with letters A-I attend. On August 22nd, ONLY children with the last names J-R attend. And, on August 23rd, ONLY children with the last names S-Z attend. ALL kindergarten children attend school beginning Monday, August 26th.

MIDDLE SCHOOL – Open House will be Mon. August 19th 6-7pm. Bus assignments will be available this evening. Fee information will be mailed at a later date – there is NO fee paying at Open House. School Supply lists can be found at

Middle School PTO representatives will be available to speak to you about parent involvement and may have Lake spirit wear available for purchase.

HIGH SCHOOL – Open House will be Wed. August 28th 6-7pm. Schedules are available on PowerSchool.

All other grades should be prepared with spiral notebooks, loose leaf paper, folders, pens and pencils for each class. A TI-30XIIS calculator is recommended for math classes. Teachers will give specific needs at the start of the year.

Lake Elementary Kindergarten Staggered Start

Lake Elementary School kindergarten students will be on a staggered start for fall 2019. One-third of the kindergarten students will attend on each of the first three days of school. On August 21st, children with last names beginning with the letters A-I attend. On August 22nd, children with the last names J-R attend. Finally, on August 23rd, children with the last names S-Z attend. All kindergarten children attend schools beginning Monday, August 26th. The staggered start will allow the teachers to get to know the students and make it easier on the children at they begin their educational journey.
