Parents and Guardians:

For the past couple of weeks our administration and district nurse have been working on the logistics of administering the COVID vaccine to our staff. Earlier this week, we met with the Wood County Health Commissioner and a key member of his staff to choose tentative dates and times for our employees to receive the vaccine.

After discussing our situation with Commissioner Robison, we are TENTATIVELY scheduled to administer the vaccine to members of our staff on Friday, February 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and also on Friday, February 19 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. I use the word “tentatively” because the health department cannot guarantee how many vaccines it receives on a weekly basis. We are over scheduling to account for this fact.

On both of the dates mentioned above, we will be having virtual learning days for our students. We will more than likely have two virtual learning days in March to allow us to give the second dosage of the vaccine, but we do not know what those dates will be in part because those days will be determined by which vaccine we receive from the health department (either Pfizer or Moderna).

As details become more finalized, we will make it a priority to keep you informed so you may plan accordingly for those important dates.

Thank you for your understanding!
