I hope this letter finds you well and you are enjoying the summer. Soon it will be time for the start of the 2021-22 school year. School personnel continue to make preparations for when we welcome our staff and students back in late August.
Part of the preparations are geared towards Covid-19. The federal government has mandated that employees and students MUST wear masks once they step on a school bus. This mandate includes going to and from school, and co-curricular and extracurricular activities. As of today, masks will be OPTIONAL for our students and staff when they are not on a school bus. That could change between now and August 26, pending the directives schools would receive from federal and state health agencies. As always, we will keep you updated as quickly as we are able with any changes.
Finally, a meeting has been scheduled for Monday, August 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the middle school media center to begin the organization of a levy campaign for the proposed new elementary school that will be voted on by our community this November. If you are interested in being a part of this group, you are encouraged to attend this meeting.
