2020 Commencement
Our current plan for commencement is to invite all seniors to come to the school at a scheduled time (to be determined) on Saturday, May 23. The family and the senior may come in a group of no more than 10 including the graduate. The senior will be filmed having their name read and collecting their diploma. There will be a very small amount of time for pictures as well. We are planning for approximately 2 minutes between graduates.
The video will be released to the public at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 31. At 11:30 on May 31, seniors are invited to gather (staying in their cars) in the high school parking lot to participate in a parade through the community. Only one car per senior may join in the parade.
The letter emailed to seniors and parents on May 8, with more details about video day can be found HERE. The individual times for each graduate can be found HERE.

Staff, Students, and Parents:
School Supplies
Students in grades 9-12 will have different needs based on the classes in which they enroll. They will be prepared for school with basic school supplies like pens, pencils, paper, notebooks and folders. A calculator like a TI-30XIIS will be adequate for most math classes.
For eighth grade students an updated supply list is available HERE.
Emergency Information
Lake High School, along with Lake Athletic Department are using Final Forms to collect beginning of the year and emergency medical information. After you enter your information the first time it is our hope that the process is more simple and streamlined for additional students and in subsequent years.
The directions to create an account were mailed to your homes. We want both the home school and our students attending Penta to provide this important medical information. If you cannot find your instructions, you can access them HERE.
Calling Students in Absent
Lake Local Schools uses the Safe Arrival system to help track students and notify parents when a student is absent. You must report your student’s absence the Safe Arrival system prior to 7:45 the day of absence to avoid being called by the system. I highly encourage all parents to authenticate their account so you can use the School Messenger app. The app is very easy to use, especially if you have more than one student in more than one building on campus. The letter with School Messenger details can be found under the documents and forms link.
HS Drop Off/Pick Up
If you drop off or pick up your student before and/or after school, we need your help. With so many cars moving in the parking lot, safety becomes a concern for everyone. Whether dropping off or picking up we highly encourage you to use the parking spaces and park your car long enough for your students to get in our out. By doing this you are out of the traffic flow and other drivers do not need to wait for you and your student.
In the afternoon, we try to get all traffic moving in the same direction. Please exit toward the flagpoles and out the main drive.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE CURB IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING OR IN THE MAIN DRIVE. This limits the ability of other drivers to safely enter and exit the parking lot.
